Description

Considered a signature tea by connoisseur’s the world over, our blend of the finest Ceylon Pekoe hails from the lush tea gardens of Ruhuna located in the southern part of the island. The low elevation coupled with the optimal mix of regular rainfall and abundant sunshine enable the tea leaves in this region to be considerably larger than those in the highlands. Aided by good plucking, the longer leaves allow the tea manufacturer to roll them into their distinct curly and pellet shaped appearance. When infused in boiling water, the pekoe leaves unfurl and brew strong and full bodied teas.
